Amazing! YouTube Star Lilly Singh to get her own late night tv show. She will be taking on what is mostly a male world of late night TV. Tapped as America’s first female late-night talk show host in decades
The new show is to debut in September called “A little late with Lilly Singh”.
Lilly Singh will be the only woman to host a show on one of the big four networks.
The show is set to air at 1:35am and will be 30minutes with comedy and gusts. The exact date is yet to be announced.
“An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true,” Singh said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.”
It will be “kind of like my YouTube channel,” she said, adding that “I think it’s a little awesome for an Indian Canadian woman to be on a late-night show.”
Lilly aka ||Superwoman|| has more than 14 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. She’s also appeared in films such as “Bad Moms” and the HBO movie “Fahrenheit 451.”
And she has written a New York Times bestselling book, “How to Be a Bawse: A Guide To Conquering Life.”li
